Now, more commonly referred to as Brays Oaks, this area is experiencing a resurgence with renovations on many homes in the area. Houston Baptist University is nearby and this community offers easy access to 59 as well as the Museum District and Medical Center. Some of the homes here are quite large (up to 4000+ square feet) and still have reasonable sale prices. Home prices range from $100,000 up to $275,000 and there is a mix of 1 and 2 story homes as well as patio homes. Architecture varies from traditional to ranch to contemporary and most homes were built in the late 1960s through the early 1980s. There are 9 parks in this area and the city of Houston appears to be putting quite a bit of money into improving infrastructure here. Keep an ear out for a $5 million outdoor entertainment pavillion and park to open soon (Willow Waterhole Park & Levitt Pavillion).
